This coronavirus has destroyed and created many industries. It has also changed the way we work and play.
This online lecture will focus on how globalisation will develop from here. One of the things it has done is to encourage people to use e-payment systems.
Currently, we depend on our credit cards and bank accounts for e-payments. And this in turn depends on our traditional banking systems. But there is a parallel banking system being developed that will soon replace the traditional banking system.
This transformation could be very sudden, just as the appearance of the coronavirus was sudden. Attend this talk and find out how the global economies will be affected when this transformation occurs.
Our distinguish guest – Dr Tan Kee Wee
Tan Kee Wee runs an economics advisory firm. Prior to that, Dr Tan spent many years in the investment industry as an economist, forecasting the financial markets and global economies.
Dr Tan started off his career in 1988 as a journalist with the Business Times. That was after he secured his PhD in Economics from the University of East Anglia in Britain.
Despite spending most of his career in the business world, he continues to teach undergraduates economics on a part-time basis.
