8th ITMA CIO Study Trip, Sparking Innovation

ITMA is organizing its 8th CIO Study Trip themed “Sparking Innovation”, which will be in Switzerland and Liechtenstein between 8th and 12th of September.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) Study trip is organized by the Singapore IT Management Association (ITMA). This is an exclusive event for CIOs/IT Heads, and has been well regarded as a great opportunity to learn, network, and share with industry peers from different industries and geographies.

For this 8th annual study trip, a group of 30 CIOs and IT heads will have the chance to explore and discuss the innovative ways in which well-established European organizations use technologies. We will meet with CIOs and other business leaders in these organizations:

  • ABB – A Fortune 250 company headquartered in Zurich with 150,000 employees. ABB invests heavily in technology, devoting over $1 billion to various research and development activities.
  • Audemars Piguet – A renowned luxury watch maker, who over the last century has achieved many firsts in precision watch making, and improved upon watch-making practices.
  • AXA Tech – Provides cutting edge technology solutions for the AXA Group, a global financial conglomerate with more than $1T in assets under management.
  • CERN – The European Council for Nuclear Research and the world’s largest particle collider. The world wide web was also founded in CERN in 1989 by Tim Bernes-Lee.
  • DSM – A Euro 10 Billion company that is active in the health, nutrition and materials sector.
  • HSBC Private Bank – Learn how HSBC implemented their Digital Strategy from their Private Banking Managing Director.
  • IMD – One of the world’s premier and top ranking business and management institution, IMD is ranked 1st in executive education worldwide by the Financial Times 2008-2014.
  • MindMaze – Meet up with the CEO and founder of this highly innovative company that combines immersive virtual reality, brain imaging and robotics.
  • UBS – The de facto Swiss bank, with 62,000 employees in 50 countries, an annual revenue of CHF 70B CHF. Technology is fundamental to UBS, innovation in technology has allowed UBS to remain a key player in the global financial system.
