Remote Work Security Executive Roundtable
Our daily work schedules may have been disrupted in recent times but cybercrimes do not stop. According to FireEye device detections, coronavirus-themed malicious emails increased during the month of March 2020. Specifically, FireEye has observed more than four times as many phishing emails in the second half of March than we did in the first half.
Ensuring data integrity and security as well as operational security during these times of disruption or increased remote work is critical. Remote workers should be advised on how to best secure their workplaces, remote work security policies, and access controls should be reviewed and clearly communicated. Special attention should also be paid to the possibility of insider threats.
Safety is of the utmost importance. Not just for ourselves but for our business organizations too.
