How Can Lean Management Possibly Help Me To Re-engineer Business Processes?
While many people have heard of the term Lean Management not everyone understands what it is and how it can help IT to re-engineer business processes.
Traditional business process re-engineering (BPR) methods focus on root cause analysis and process mapping tools but do not help us build the improved process. This is not so helpful because we are left to develop the improved business process by ourselves with little guidance.
This 2 hour session will introduce you to methods and tools of Lean Management for mapping and capturing the issues in the current business process (like end to end turn-around time problems, the bottleneck points, quality issues that slow the process, the size of the backlog at various points along the process etc) but more importantly also offers clear step by step guidance on how to re-engineer and radically improve the business process. The context of the session will be IT focused.
Learning will be through case study discussions and activities during the workshop.
