It will be a memorable evening. \nAgenda: \n6.15pm – “The evolution of eCommerce implementation over the last 15 years”\n6.45pm – Cocktails for all\, Networking\n7.15pm – “A Fine Wine Triumvirate” – wine appreciation plus finger food\n7.45pm – Ends \n“The evolution of eCommerce implementation over the last 15 years” \nOver the past 15 year\, eCommerce solutions have evolved dramatically. 10-15 years ago a standard eCommerce implementation required substantial financial commitments and ‘.com’ startups needed 10s of millions of dollars in funding before they could even start operating. Today\, many of the recent successes stories like Groupon started with much less than $1M in funding and they generated profits almost immediately. \n\nMarcelo joined RS Components Ltd. as Head of eCommerce in early 2010 and oversees the eCommerce business in Asia Pacific\, including key markets such as China\, Japan and Australia. \nMarcelo has more than 13 years of international experience in global eCommerce businesses and has previously worked with Hewlett-Packard and KPMG. \nMarcelo is an early eCommerce pioneer and established one of Europe’s first online-shopping platforms together with DHL in 1997. In 1999 he joined KPMG as Senior eCommerce Consultant where he led the strategy development and implementation of large eCommerce sites like sonystyle.com\, mini.com and the enterprise B2B site for Hewlett Packard. \n  \n“A Fine Wine Triumvirate” \n\nA chance to try a Saint-Julien (Bordeaux) from the amazing 2000 vintage\, one of the top 13 wines of Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) AND one of the best Chateauneuf du Pape’s EVER produced! \nIf one were asked to name three wine regions of the world producing extremely high-quality\, world-class wines then a top-scoring ten out of ten answer could easily be Saint-Julien\, Saint-Emilion and Chateauneuf du Pape. The first two form (a small) part of the Bordeaux wine region\, of course\, and the third is a town at the Southern end of the Rhone Valley where one finds spicy\, bold and buxom wines – arguably more interesting than a lot of what comes out of Bordeaux and without doubt better value.
