SYNOPSIS

Big companies have the money and resources, so why is it so hard for them to excel in groundbreaking disruptive innovation?

The innovator’s dilemma arises when companies are dominant and have a need to protect their market resulting in the shift from disruptive innovation to sustaining innovation.

In many instances, big companies simply add technologies haphazardly to their existing business model when true innovation is to reconstruct business model with technology, capitalizing on new and emerging opportunities and morphing business models with the help of technology to achieve a more sustainable competitive advantage.

How do we view innovation? Do we simply adopt any new technologies that come along? How do we as IT leaders weed out the hype and focus on the value-add technological capabilities?

At this Good Morning CIO Breakfast Roundtable, let’s have an open dialogue with Kin Wei as he shares with us some of the use cases and proof of concept projects such as Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence to value-add in business.

How to scale a winning AI strategy?

    Dear ITMA Members,

According to McKinsey, by building machine learning into processes, leading organizations are increasing process efficiency by 30% or more while also increasing revenues by 5%-10%.

However, there is a lot of decision making and automation along the way and that can bring risks to the equation. This leads us to the following questions:

    - How do organizations ensure their AI transformation aligns with their strategic goals and delivers meaningful impact for the business?
    - How do organizations set themselves up to get started and then scale the use of AI across the business in a governed way?
    - How do organizations create resilient AI-driven assets to maximize impact?
